If your maps are not currently working it could possibly be due to your billing account expiring due to you being on a free trial.
To check if this is the reason your maps are not working follow the steps below.
Go to > https://console.cloud.google.com/ > Log into your Google Cloud Console.
Go to > Billing > My Billing Account > Manage Billing Accounts > My billing Account > It will most likely show here that your free trial is over, you need to upgrade to get your maps working again.
