For any Booking.com bookings that come via Bluetent Boost, YesBookit will now not automatically charge the credit card – even if the default is for the property manager to take payment at the time of booking. Rather it will just tokenise (securely save) the card in the booking, enabling your team to manually charge the card and include a credit card fee, or not, as you require.

Bluetent has updated how credit card fees are handled such that they are accurately represented on Booking.com, but are not included in the details sent to YesBookIt so that when the fee is added on at the time of processing there is no risk of double-charging.

This means that Booking.com reservation payments must be manually processed, with the benefit that you will no longer have to worry about mismatches between credit card fees presented to your guests on Booking.com and what is actually charged.
