What have we been up to? Here's a quick summary of what you should know.

HomeAway Australia self service

The eagle-eyed of you may have noticed this week we added the HomeAway/Stayz channel to our Channel Management page, next to Booking.com and Rentals United. This now means that you can go in and manage the feed to HomeAway/Stayz yourself, change the cancellation policy, update the value to your rate mark-up, and turn on or off any properties to feed into HomeAway. Of course, the YesBookit and HomeAway support teams are also here to help you if you have any questions about any of this.
 
We are now working on plugging the rate mark-up feature into our direct Booking.com connection - expect to see that soon.

Workshop Sessions for 2019

We're pleased to announce the following locations for our 2019 Product & Training Workshops:

  • Byron Bay

  • Wollongong

  • Sydney

  • Sunshine Coast

  • Melbourne

  • Queenstown

Dates will be released by the end of this year and tickets will go on sale in January.

Google Maps

Google has changed the way they bill for the usage of their mapping API, and those with YesBookit websites will see a notification from us soon about some actions you will need to take in order to continue to have maps functionality. This is an important set of changes, so please be ready to take action.

Small Improvements

What else have we been up to?

  • Owners using some browsers (particularly Microsoft Edge) were having problems creating bookings. That has been fixed.

  • Owners were able to create bookings without selecting if they wanted a cleaner or not. This was causing some PMs problems, so we now force owners to say "yes" or "no" to a cleaner when they book.

  • Review counts were not updating correctly. We've fixed the problem, and are now monitoring to make sure it behaves itself.
