HomeAway Australia and Rate Markup Tool

The feed into HomeAway Australia is up and running, and a lot of you will have heard from the HomeAway team as they help you in getting your listings showing on HomeAway.

I'm also happy to say that the tool for marking up (or down) rates into HomeAway is now ready to go.  You can now contact your HomeAway implementation specialist or account manager to set up a markup if you wish.  Our beancounters have determined 3.42% is the magic number to cover HomeAway commissions on your rates.

We are also working on updating the Channel Management screen to enable you to turn on HomeAway, set the rate markup, and set the HomeAway cancellation policy you support.  This is a few weeks away.

Once we finish this screen work, we will plug it into our direct Booking.com interface.

Workshop Sessions

Thank you to everyone who was able to come to our workshops in Perth, Melbourne and Newcastle.  It was a great turnout, and here at YesBookit we always appreciate being able to meet you in person, learn from you and help you make more out of YesBookit.

Small Improvements

It hasn't been all HomeAway recently. We've also managed to release these and a number of other smaller issues:

  • Force owners to select if they want a cleaner when they make a booking - no more forgetting to say yes or no.

  • Fixed a problem where review emails were not always being sent to guests.

Hints from the Help Center

Have you got a new staff member or new to YesBookit yourself? Check out training videos like Creating a New Property or sign up for our free monthly New Staff Training Webinar.

There's also plenty going on in the YesBookit Help Centre for all skill levels.

Happy learning!

What's next?

Fine-tune the HomeAway link, roll out the rate markup for HomeAway and start building rate markup for Booking.com.

As always, contact us if you have any questions about any of this.

Cheers,
Daniel and the YesBookit Team.
