An IP address is like a phone number to your computer. It enables communications from one device to another. You must always have one in order to communicate on the internet. There are only two types of IP address, either static or dynamic.

Static means it stays the same until you leave your service provider or change it.

Dynamic means you get an IP address automatically assigned from a range of addresses each time you connect to the internet so it can change.

Why do I need a Static IP?

YesBookit needs to know the IP address of your server so that it can communicate with your trust accounting software ie Console Gateway, Rockend REST, Surfway Realpro, RPData RP Office

How do I get a Static IP?

Contact your ISP - a Static IP is normally a service that you can order online through your account login with your provider.
