New stuff

At Rezfest we took suggestions from attendees of small things they'd like us to build, and we built and released five of them. In one day! They are:

  • Mobile number of the guest added to the arrival and departures report.

  • Bookings Income report is now easier to perform year-on-year comparison.  Select 'Compare Dates' and it will default to your date range for last year.

  • You can add a cleaner's note to the property that stays with the property, and not just a booking.

  • Bookings you enter manually now show a breakdown of how the price is calculated.

  • On the Quick Booking form, there's a button to submit and create another. Easy!

We've also been releasing some other things, such as:

  • We added your payment schedule (think deposit and balance due dates, if you have them) to the API used by sites like HomeAway and Bluetent. Here's a 3-minute video about APIs for the keen beans.

Changes

  • Our iCal setup was causing unnecessary load on the servers used for your YesBookit login, so we kicked it over to another server. Didn't know we had iCal functionality? Have a read of this.

Bugs squashed

  • There was a gremlin in our card saving feature for a couple of clients. We found that gremlin and stopped feeding it after midnight.

What's next?

We've got some exciting things in the pipeline over the coming months:

  • We received almost 40 different improvement requests in Rezfest - we will be working through these.

  • The discussions with you all at Rezfest were so valuable, we will be rolling out a system for gathering feedback from YesBookit users - watch this space for more in the next few weeks.

As always, contact us if you have any questions about any of this.

Cheers,
Daniel and the YesBookit Team.
