File Name

Save images with a file name that describes the image using key phrases that tie the page together.

Alternative Text (Alt text)

This is how Google ‘reads’ the image when, so the Alt text description should be a punctuated, full sentence description of the image using the keywords of the page.

If for some reason the image cannot load on the page, the Alt text will display.
It is an expectation of Google that all images on your website have alternative text set, and if it is missing, it will interfere with your website search engine optimisation.
